Legoland Field Trip

This year for the second grade field trip we took the kiddos to Legoland Discovery Center, a traveling exhibit currently at Grapevine Mills Mall. The attraction will stay put until the end of the year but we were lucky enough to be some of the first visitors as it only opened 2 weeks before we went. Such a neat place to take a field trip! The kids were pumped as soon as they set eyes on the entrance. It was a whirlwind of fun until we left 3 hours later. This is what they had to offer... 2 rides in Kingdom Quest, karaoke and girly leggos in the Princess Parlor, Lego Studios 4D cinema, Lego Racers Build and Test Zone, Lego City Play Zone, Lego Factory, Cafe and of course a Lego Gift Shop! The coolest part of Legoland for me was Miniland! Miniland is a mini city of Dallas/Fort Worth built entirely out of Leggos! They featured The Greatwolf Lodge, DFW Airport, some popular buildings from the Dallas skyline, Cowboys Stadium, The Ballpark in Arlington and the Fort Worth Stockyards only to name a few out of this amazing exhibit! Miniland went from day to night, the entire room went from light to dark and then the city lit up and fireworks were beaming from the walls. It was as if we were in an Omni theater with all the special effects. If you are in the Grapevine area and you have kids, you must check out Legoland this summer! Check out some of my photos.
